Some Amazing Reading

I am super busy today...but I wanted to share some awesome blog posts I have been reading that I have found very encouraging!

I was validated by God's View of a Woman

I was encouraged by They Were Right About the Slippery Slope

I was deeply disturbed by Kidnapped for Christ

I was annoyed by Pastor Mark's Tweet (more on this later)

I was helped by When You Are Ready To Try Again: Going Back to Church

If you are a praying person, please pray for us as we make some important decisions!  The Lord knows!

  1. If you like 'God's view of a woman', try http://lovejoyfeminism.blogspot.com/ - 'Love, joy, feminism' is about a former evangelical/quiverfull daughter who grows up to find worth outside of her fundamentalist backgroun.

  2. As part of your faith exploration and journey, I'd highly encourage you to read "Surprised by Truth" by Patrick Madrid. God is calling you to be closer to Him and you may honestly be surprised by where He's calling you to look. It's a quick read and widely available (on Amazon, for instance). I hope you find it worth your while. God bless.

  3. So ehm... I don't quite get it. This one guy cheated on his fiancée, and then he had to attend 'several' meetings. How much is never stated. And he was called a wolf. If all cheaters were treated like this by their whole social network, no one would be cheating anymore. But I hate how the girl he was cheating with is treated like she couldn't help herself.
Don't get me wrong, I really don't want to bring you down, neither have I ever visited that church but.. What's so wrong with Mark Driscoll? He's all over the internet and they're never really nice about him.. Do you know him?
I hope you will be ok. I don't go to churches at all, as I have been dissapointed too many times. Never have I found God in a church.. I hope you understand that you don't NEED a church, and you will not force yourself to go to one. Maybe you're just a bit like me... Think about it.

    1. In regards to not cheating anymore, I think the cheaters would just become very good liars until they self destruct, because there is no one to turn to that they can trust that would see them as worth anything.
